2010--This
year was spent removing the water from the areas [underground
springs] that we needed --to be dry to work with riders. The
work could not be done until May, into June --a bit late in the year.
With the understanding that we would be working with at-risk youth,
we really were hoping for a grant to quickly put up a tool room,
tack room --to keep our equipment safe and dry. We need this
room so we could get more organized for the work ahead. So,
that known, Rose planned to build that room herself --with the wood
that was already here, including the garage doors, that were taking
up space. The scrap wood, was used to get this project well
under way. We needed to get equipment
out of the house and into a more suitable area. Time passed very
quickly. Organization, and very little help became quite time consuming.
We now have the needed lounging arena behind the barn to work with the
horses that may be too frisky --in preparation for clients. The next
chore is to clear out some wooded paths to be able to have that
let-down area, after sessions. Everything is really getting
set up, and at the same time we have acquired some dedicated
clients, that will be remaining with us through this next year.
Word of mouth is the very best advertising, and that opportunity is
now presenting itself. The success we are having with clients
in riding or to relieve pain and/or stress, plus the counsultin, has
really made a difference in their lives. Our goal is to also
acquire an indoor arena, as our work picks up --so we do not have a
silent time, during the year. Most of our computer websites
are being finished up, and our time is opening up for the new
clients we expect for 2011.
2009
--Our websites are finally coming together so that purpose and ability to
see what we really offer is in good standing --so it is not so terribly
scattered throughout! We HAVE really made progress! We will be
getting more search engine work and advertising --also for what is in the
area. Our Retreats, Fresh Start Program, and personal help for those
searching are our priorities besides the NECESSARY element of making a
horses life greater, through understanding and clearing up many
misconceptions. We will have quarterly specials, and as we get going
there will be monthly programs offered in advance so you also can make
your plans! it will be my personal pleasure to settle into what we
do best and that is helping you!
2008 --work a 40 hr. job to help us
until we are on our feet in this new location, and until we are accepted.
More vital work to be accomplished before we start-up. We have had
an unexpected guest for our 3-day-retreat --from Australia! We could
NOT refuse. This is someone from --the 'other side of the world'!
