Riding Program Background --why we teach as we do!

When this program was created in 1980-'82, we took into considerations all other riding disciplines, and as many possibilities for error --we could imagine.

We considered what 'impact' --this information would have on individuals taking the program. I held on to the question,-'how would this information effect the mind, the body, etc. If there could be any negative impact --it was eliminated, or considered for a specific purpose--for teaching purposes only.

Teaching or coaching is a learned skill, to gently guide each individual to their own path of discovery. Therefore it is taken into consideration, the reasons behind the client taking this program, in the first place.

As a coach, we must work at staying open to anything that will give us clues, to help to fulfill a clients needs. It is a continuous walk, and -strategy becomes primary --to help individuals with any needed (mind or body) behavior, attitude, or new insight.

To also help the client to stay open to other possibilities --seemed to be a good way to give clients/students the ability to think through information given.

We make no rules, but allow them to discover for themselves!

We want to stimulate and promote a good thought process, improving not only riding skills --but Life-Skills as well.

Learning 'Common Sense' is -power!

It is the intention of this program --to give the student the necessary skills --to figure things out for themselves. They must learn to apply information --as needed.

 Real --Empowerment!

When many givens are realized, we may come to understand that some particulars will work --most of the time --however --to accept what we teach --as a rule --or to assume --is NOT recommended.

We are always on the Constant

--Adventure of Discovery!
