Seasons of Reasoning

Everyone seemed to know the goofy lady who lived in the hayloft,
to be alone after a nerve-wracking second marriage.
I just wanted peace and quiet, and to be
alone with the horses.
I thought I wanted to be in the 'horse
business', but I just saw and learned too much, so
what now?
So the old farm [60 acres]
came available, after years of trail-rides and lessons, and I started forming
new
learning programs, to help the horse, and
those who wanted to know them better.
We were compared to the
'Horse Whisperer' however we instead
--'listened to the horses' whose spirits connected
with mine.
Lyncho seemed to know
so much about people, If only he could talk, we would know how to do
so much more, plus we would know what
it was we were to do. This was a dilemma!
The time came when our
financial struggles meant I must get a job, but that took away so
much time that we needed to move forward in our own work. It was very difficult.
Then we got a call to
work with some at-risk youth! We
knew how much we helped that group. That was it!
Then, we were directed to
Harrisburg Human Services in total frustration, trying to find our niche.
This led us to becoming
a non-profit organization, and that wasn't easy for
us either.
We eventually moved
closer to a small city, and started working with
at risk youth, mental health, and the
probation dept, etc etc.
We learned more than we
should, and there were things we
didn't like at all. We would not join the
normal protocol, and decided to go it
alone!
Personal integrity
FIRST!
We would start creating the most honorable program --we could.
That path has stayed
firm!
We would not exist in
ANY BOX!
We would lead --not be
anyone's tag-along! [through
2000]

Another huge chapter
begins.
Wouldwe stand up under all the upcoming pressures?
Almost!
Then God's hand started
to direct us.
