The study of horsemanship --without human ego.

Own a horse-- index

We (STQH) have been coaching on the thought --that the mind is our 'choice box’ --so to speak.  We believe that the brain, is --our God Given, that makes us do what must be done, by instinctual response -for survival, like breathe, and to pull a hand away from a fire.  The brain will take in ‘information’ not ‘necessarily’ a fact, and the brain will untangle it to help you make decisions quickly, while giving the human mind the option --to choose and learn.

Okay, lets go back to the rider with this ‘circle of ego' that is distracting the rider from the ‘Spiritual Dynamics’ of what riding the horse has to offer.

What does the ego have to do with riding a horse anyway?  Is this your question?  It has been ours!

The answer is --nothing!   That is nothing concerning the ‘mechanics’ of riding, or traditional methods!

The OTHER answer is  –‘EVERYTHING’!

That is --when it comes to

 Soft Touch Quantum Horsemanship 'Spiritual Dynamics'

The horse has no ego!  How can the horse, who is ‘in spirit’ by nature, be expected to respond to us fully, if we are projecting our ego onto them, not our ‘spirit’?

The horse easily recognizes which ‘world’ [ego or spirit] that we project to them!

They would ‘buck’ our ego if they could!  They try to help us eliminate this [un-natural] ego state of being, don’t they?  They will fuss, they will warn us, they reject us, and try to give us a hard time.  They do not like being attacked by the un-natural, non-spiritual, human ego, or the ego’s power struggles that threaten the horse.  They get filled with flight or fight. They would choose to get away from us, and not join with us on equal terms.  Our egos have not allowed the horse the privilege of meeting us on that ‘spirit’ level.  When it's natural, they would easily connect us!

This is what Monty Roberts is about.  He meets the horse, on their level.  I THANK GOD that Monty was the first [?] to open the eyes of horseman all over the world.  He has made the non-traditional acceptable!  Those, including myself, no longer must struggle to hold to our beliefs about the naturalness of the horse.  Monty broke that ‘mind-barrier'!

Thank you Monty!  You have made my life easier because I was finally accepted for what I was doing.

I am NOT a 'whisperer' --I have preferred the word --'Listener'.

So, does this now begin to make sense, how the horse will respond to a person, who is open to ‘something’ that the horse is attracted to?  Could that be, that this person knows the spirit of the horse? (I didn’t say spirits)  The ‘spirit’ that is there for the horse, you and I?

This ‘Spirit of God’ --is everywhere!  In the natural, and it can be recognized!  It will also be learned, that the human EGO, is not of the Spirit of God.  In fact, the ego is in opposition to the Spirit of God.  The Human Ego, is in competition with the Spirit of God!

The horse sees, and understands what we cannot see.  They see, in their realm natural realm of ‘spirit’ understanding.  I have said many times.  There is much to learn from the Natural Horse!

Is a Horse Whisperer (?) --connected to the Natural Spirit of God?  Do they have a heart that is warm, and loving?  Do they ‘breathe in, and out naturally?  Are they ‘fluid’ in movement?  Does the ‘natural’ horse do the same?

Isn’t it understandable how a natural horse will connect to someone who recognizes what the horse knows, to ‘breathe’ from the same breath of spirit?

The horse will look right at you to see if you are real -–to see if what they see in you, and feel, is only temporary. They stand guard, and, they will absolutely acknowledge the ‘true spirit’ in you.

They will also acknowledge the Ego in you, and this will cause great caution, or for them to flee.

~~~~~~~~~~~
The domestic horse, is more ‘tolerant’ of human behavior and expectations.  They have had to adjust to human handling, the best way they can, and it isn’t and wasn't always easy.
It has been most interesting to have raised my horses without human expectations flaunted upon them.  They were wonderful teachers, and what they gave to me, was and still is profound!  It is real, and is absolutely universal!
Monty Roberts studied the wild horse for a lifetime, and come up with behaviors and attitudes of their family life.  This also is universal, but on a different level, at the same time.  The wild horse can be very abrupt, in learning.  It can be very quick, and easy, or very awkward, depending on how you have learned to work ‘with’ them.
Our study has been with the domestic horse, traditional attitudes and programs --how the two get along, or do not get along.
We have searched for that missing element, within the understanding --of the horse’s needs, as well as  human need and expectations, when it comes to the relationship between horse, human, and riding.
 Our study is similar to Monty Roberts, along only slightly different paths.
We also reject the forceful approach for starting horses.
Understanding, makes starting the horse, a very simple task.
Experience is vital, and learning from someone with experience is essential.
 Starting horses can be unsafe --for the novice.
